This deck has always felt like it's just rriigghhtttt there. So close, but yet so far. I am forever going back and forth trying to decide if just the right top end card can give that little extra push to close some games, or if I just need to accept the deck for what it is, shortcomings and all.
The current top end attempt is Magnadramon. Pros: evo for 3, or free with a plug-in S. Fits the dp reduction themed removal in the deck. Cons: Can't search, evo is permanent (unless Maid Mode goes on top) and turns off Rika effects.
Side deck = other considerations
Merciful mode- Pros: Big DP, strips off the top of the your stack on your next turn, great removal with the right stack, get to trash a security off your opponent's stack at the begining of next turn. Cons: expensive evo. Trash reduction is very meta niche.
Goldramon- Pros: cool token mechanic for getting bodies on the board. Cons: Feels a bit clunky. 4 cost evo, so can't use Plug-in S.
If i'm not running a random 1up trying to break the deck's archetype, my preference is to run a third copy of Kuzuhamon.
