This is my Devimon deck. This is a casual deck and not meant for competitive. Devimon has been a fan favorite Digimon ever since the original Digimon Adventures anime. It is honestly shocking to see the lack of support here. There is a theme but it lacks a real payoff. Hand ripping your opponent is always a dangerous thing to add into a card game. That is why Devimon has a restriction to how many they can trash. They can only keep their opponents at 7 or lower. They also benefit from the trash as well. They play low to the ground since most of their cards are Level 4 so there is a lot of room to play floodgates and other control tools to keep the deck alive. If you check a copy of Dark Wings Delusion you will mill the top 3 cards of your deck. If you mill Death Slinger you get a memory back. Death Slinger is also an incredible card for purple decks because of its security effect and the increase potency once you get its conditionals met. There is also the BT 4 NeoDevimon which has a nasty effect actually. Against Tamer heavy decks you can steal 3 memory from them every time they play one. It isn't once per turn either. Combine this with Digimon Emperor and Takumi and you can slow your opponent down a lot. Matt lets you retrieve cards from trash and is a memory setter. Calling From the Darkness also lets you retrieve pieces from your trash. It also triggers certain on delete inheritables. The Promo DemiDevimon can let you play out a DanDevimon from trash for free if the Digimon it is under is deleted. The DanDevimon I chose has Rush and Security Attack +1. It also deletes something but if it didn't delete it rips a card out of your opponents hand. The EX 6 NeoDevimon also has the same on delete effect as the promo. If you get two DanDevimon in trash and have the NeoDevimon get deleted while the promo is in its sources, you can play both DanDevimon and possibly delete two Digimon or rip two cards out of your opponents hand. That is also four possible security checks right there. That isn't a thing that should be taken lightly especially since this deck achieves their gameplay very early compared to most decks. I don't run many high level Digimon in this deck for that reason. There isn't much point to do so. I am also running one Psychemon and Gazimon specifically to stall. Death X is to clear large boards. Ruin Mode was considered but since I don't need to go into DanDevimon which is my only Level 6 in the deck, Digivolving into Ruin Mode isn't as consistent as I would like. Now for the funny combo of the deck. BT 14 Devimon is pretty much the decks secondary Level 6. It can get to the same power as one pretty easily and combos especially well with the options in the deck. It fills your trash and gets stronger for every card in there. If it is deleted you rip a card from your opponents hand too. It is also a higher cost than most Level 4 Digimon. It is more like a Level 5 that can reach the same numbers as a Level 6. When combined with Dark Wings of Delusion you can trash another 3 cards and give it security attack +1. This stacks by the way. And since you are adding more cards to your trash, Devimon gets stronger. By simply Digivolving into the Devimon in raising on turn two and moving it out, you can activate multiple of the Dark Wings of Delusion option from your hand to trash cards from your deck, increase power, and give the Devimon a lot of security checks. Combine that with the control tools of the deck and the rookie rush capabilities and you get a solid low tier deck. I am pretty content with this deck and I hope it can do well enough. I doubt it will win a tournament any time soon though. Unless it is specifically a rare or lower tournament. In that case you can remove the promo and the Death X and add in Jack Raid or something. Jack Raid is incredible in this deck but I couldn't find room while keeping the tools I wanted.
