Dex Program
Deck Primer
With the advent of new support, the Dex Program deck has evolved into something I did not expect it to become. It became something that is a major threat to the meta game right now. With all of the adjustments I have made over the time I have been playing and the reveals of new Dex cards themselves, I bring you the Dex Program deck. But unlike other builds this one does not need a Death X to work. This is a really big deal as that was the most expensive card the deck needed. In addition to that, the new Dex cards are amazing. Although your only really going to need two of each. Once you get one of each one in rotation, your opponent has to be careful on what they do. If your opponent tries deleting one of your non Dex Digimon, you can discover directly from the trash to the respective Dex to protect your board while possibly breaking your opponents. By using Collision and the Inheritable from the new Dexdorugreymon, you can delete your own Digimon when attacking to remove another card. By playing a Digimon with the inheritable of the SOC Dorugreymon, you can activate the on play effects of your rookies then sacrifice them for this cost on the second attack. By sacrificing a Digimon you can then unsuspend both Dexdorugoramon and Dorugoramon for multi attacks. With the tamer Kosuke, you gain both piercing and blocker so that you can play defensively and offensively. Due to the inheritable of the new Dexdorugamon, you gain reboot which allows you to play flexibly and aggressively simultaneously. With all of the protection and offensive tools, the Dex Program deck I designed is definitely the deck I will use as my main deck in tournaments on release. As for the tech options I am running, well I have a few good things to say about that. Ultimate Flare was considered in the list but I chose to remove them as the new Dexdorugoramon has that effect built in making it kinda redundant. But DG Dimension lets you de-digivolve wider boards and remove stuff at the same time. Final Zubagon Punch is used as a really strong finisher if needed. An extra security attack with piercing and a multi attack is no joke. Especially when combined with all of the defense the deck has. The build can run either of the X-Antibody options so I chose to run one of each for the versatility. Protoform for defense and the regular one for offense. Instead of running Defense Training I chose to run Black Scramble whose effects synergize more with this deck. Although I have no clue how expensive that card might become in the future. I hope is is cheaper than the training cards. But those three slots are flexible for whatever memory gaining option you want. Black Memory Boost is also a viable option as a substitute. There are more cards revealed earlier that I can run as well but sadly the new Tamer for the Dex deck is too slow for my liking and requires Kosuke to be already in rotation. But I have considered running it. In its place is the Death X Digivolution option card which fulfills the same role but more proactively. Feel free to swap them based on which you prefer. Death X is another story entirely though. I highly recommend running it as it brings a lot of power to the table but it is just an expensive card so I took it out. If you want to run it then I would take out a copy of DG Dimension. But seeing as I don't want to spend over 50 dollars on a card that isn't needed for the deck to function I am completely fine without it. Any of the Dorimon in the game can be extremely useful for the deck. However this deck has a lot of draw power and consistency tools at its disposal so I opted to run the new Dorimon for its memory gain inheritable which is somehow once during both player's turns. That is just too good to pass up on. Overall I am really happy with the build I created. And I hope that if anybody is actually reading this is having a good day. I have been having a little bit of a rough time lately so this news is something that is helping me out quite a lot. Dorumon is my partner Digimon after all. I also have always preferred Dorugoramon over Alphamon. But I will still work on building that variant as well. Thank you for reading this far.
