Purple Rookie Rush
Deck Primer
Note: Proof of concept, haven't tested this yet, but wanted to post my idea.
Rookies cost 2, except for Elecmon, which should only be "played" by Digivolving and by card effects- should not be hard played if you can help it. The Hybrids are for a 2 cost sneak attack "Rush" Digimon that comes out of nowhere for a surprise attacker. Because of this, all of your Digimon essentially cost 2 to bring out. Well... Gazimon is in the sideboard, but in this meta with so many players playing Hybrids and Bokomon, it's worth considering replacing a rookie like Elecmon out and just including Gazimon in your maind deck right away. With the extra 4 slots consider putting Schwarz Lehrsatz in your sideboard. *Addendum Below
Your option cards all have security effects that allow you to play a Digimon from your trash for free (with the exception of Glaive Memory Boost, which you can store and then crack later for an expensive card like Nail Bone).
Xiaomon is chosen because the other Digi-Eggs don't really do much for this deck. Arguably, Gigimon BT5-006 is probably the next best choice. This deck doesn't fill your trash up that quickly since there are no discard effects, but if you do manage to fill your trash to 10, Retaliation is very useful for a Rookie Rush deck.
Side deck:
Mentioned earlier, Gazimon shuts down procs from Bokomon and other non-tamer memory procs. Optional: Replace Elecmon in your maindeck with Gazimon and just sideboard Schwarz Lehrsatz.
Calling from Darkness helps to +1 in terms of cards. You do have to sac a Digimon, but since your Digimon are cheap, it's worth considering as a draw engine since Rookie Rush tends to empty your hand after a few turns. This card is potentially necessary enough to run a full playset of in your deck. You have extra memory from your Tamers and your Digimon are cheap, so essentially paying 3 to draw an extra Digimon isn't too bad (1 for Option Play Cost. 2 for Play Cost of Digimon that has to be sac'd).
Demonic Disaster is also really good for a finishing attack on an unsuspecting opponent. It gives you an extra attack which may be the last push that you need for game, so sacrifacing another Digimon to unsuspend one Digimon is more so a requirement to have set up rather than a Drawback. If you have a 2 cost Digimon in hand, it's essentially a 3 cost Rush play. Example: You have one Digimon already in play because other Digimon that you had were deleted from attacking Security. You've just attacked with the Digimon, taking away your opponent's last security card, but you have no Digimon left over to sac. Play a 2 cost from your hand, use Demonic Disaster to sac the new 2-cost, and unsuspend your suspended Digimon for a finishing attack.
I've thought about it a bit and I wonder if Calling from Darkness is good. Because you pay 1 for the card and then you (minimally) pay 4 for two other Digimon, you gain 1 extra Digimon on the field (since you had to delete one). But if you're going up just 1 Digimon anyways, it might just be better to play any Digimon that costs 5 or less instead of the whole song and dance. There are 2 minor perks as well as a major perk from using Calling from Darkness instead of just hard playing a Digimon that costs 5 or less. The minor perks are: filling up trash for Retaliation trash count of 10 from Digi-Egg and having 2 unsuspended Digimon instead of 1 suspended one (from having attacked that turn) and one brand new played one. The major perk is the ability to retrieve the Hybrids from your trash, Digivolving onto a Tamer already in play, and having a "rush" attack for a total of 3 memory- 2 rush attacks if you can manage to get 2 hybrids and you already have 2 tamers in play. Considering your extra memory from your Tamers and Memory Boost as well as the perks and drawbacks, Calling from Darkness is pretty good, after all.
Edit: Replaced 2x Kari Kamiya BT4-097 with 2x Mimi Tachikawa BT3-096 and replaced 1x Matt Ishida ST6-014 with another Mimi Tachikawa BT3-096
Since your goal is to continuously attack with weak Digimon every turn, chances are very good that your Digimon will be deleted during a security check. Matt Ishida is more aggro-focused in this deck than Mimi Tachikawa who's slightly more control-focused. Example: Matt Ishida gains memory from you attacking with a cheap Digimon, having it deleted during security, and then allows you to use your turn memory and the extra memory to play more cheap Digimon right away. Mimi Tachikawa requires you to use up your turn memory to play an Option card first in order to benefit from memory gain. Each card has its own advantage over the other, so its tough to say which one is better in most situations overall. I had considered running a full playset of one and then 2 of the other, but I believe that 3 and 3 is the best choice to create the most versatile deck.
*Edit Again 4/4/2022
Wow, so, I forgot that Gazimon won't really be a counter against Bokomon, because the nature of a Rookie Rush deck is to always attack when possible/there are no significant drawbacks when attacking. Gazimon attacking with a low DP probably means crashing into security and being deleted, making Gazimon's passive ability fundamentally useless if Gazimon doesn't remain in play during your opponent's turn. In that case, Elecmon is actually better than Gazimon and when Elecmon crashes, you can delete Bokomon that way. Deleting Bokomon >> Nullyfying Bokomon's passive memory gain effect. So, I removed the playset of Gazimon from sideboard and added in 4x Schwarz Lehrsatz. I figure with Schwarz Lersatz, you're going to definitely want to draw a copy if you need it, so if you're subbing it in, you're going to want a full 4 in your sideboard for reliability when the time comes and you think you need to include a board wipe. Changed Demonic Disaster to 3x copies and changed Calling from Darkness to 3x copies. Might again change number of Demonic Disaster and Calling from Darkness again to include an additional Mimi and additional Matt in sideboard. Not sure which is more optimal, but this looks pretty comfortable for now until testing.
Sideboard Considerations/Deck Alteration Ideas
Lv 3 Sideboard Considerations:
Dracmon ST6-04 (3, 0, 2000 DP): Returns an Option card from your trash to your hand that costs 1 or 7.
Elecmon ST6-05 (4, 0, 5000 DP): Bulky Lv 3 Vanilla Beatstick
Fake Agumon Expert BT5-072 (3, 0, 1000 DP): On Deletion: Add 1 Lv 3 Digimon with an On Deletion effect aside from Fake Agumon Expert from your trash to your hand.
Ghostmon BT7-067 (3, 1, 5000 DP): Same as Elecmon above except hard play costs less, but Digivolve costs more.
Impmon P-071 (Currently unreleased in English) (3, 0, 2000 DP): Security: Plays a Lv 3 Purple Digimon from your trash for free, then it adds itself to your hand. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Tapirmon BT2-070 (3, 0, 2000 DP): On Deletion: Draw 1. Honestly, this card is super good and I'm most probably going to remove a combination of 4 of the 2 cost DemiDevimon/Candlemon to put this in. It's effect will always come in handy from recursory cards since the Draw trigger is on deletion. GOING TO PUT THIS INTO THE DECK
Lv 4 Sideboard Considerations:
BlackGatomon BT3-082 (5, 2, 4000 DP): A Free Digimon that plays itself from security. Obviously, isn't too good in this deck since a bunch of option cards also have the security effect of playing any purple Lv 3 or Lv4 Digimon from your trash.
Boogiemon BT6-074 (5, 2, 7000 DP): Most efficient Purple Vanilla Beatstick
Devimon BT2-074 (6, 2, 4000 DP): Retaliation is good, but probably not worth taking up a card slot for this card.
Devimon BT4-081 (6, 2, 5000 DP): Main, Digi-Burst 2: Delete one of your opponent's Lv 3 Digimon HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Devimon P-018 (5, 2, 3000 DP): On Play: Delete one of your opponent's Lv 3 Digimon HIGHLY CONSIDERED (Fight for your Pride! does trigger On Play effects)
Devimon ST6-08 (6, 1, 5000 DP): I don't think that a Blocker is really necessary, but a Blocker could stop your opponent from targeting your suspended Lv 3s.
Ginkakumon Promote BT6-075 (6, 2, 6000 DP): Mainly because it's a Lv 4 with Rush. Depending on if you have 3 or more starting memory from Matt Ishida or from your opponent passing and leaving you at 3 or more, and if you have Mimi Tachikawa out, or if you can proc the other Matt Ishida to push you to 4 memory, you can play it from your trash with Fight for your Pride! for a 4-cost Rush Digimon. Honestly, it seems like a lot of steps and while it probably could consistently occur, it seems worse than just Digivolving a Hybrid onto a Tamer, and I don't think that running this justifies the card slots.
Ogremon BT6-072 (5, 2, 4000 DP): On Play: You may trash a card from your hand to delete one of your opponent's Lv 4 or lower Digimon. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Ogremon EX1-059 (6, 2, 5000 DP): When Attacking: You may trash a card from your hand to have this Digimon gain Security Attack +1 for the rest of the turn. COMBOS REALLY WELL WITH DEMONIC DISASTER. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Vilemon BT2-072 (5, 2, 6000 DP): Slightly bulkier alternative to Devimon blocker, but it costs 1 more to Digivolve.
Wizardmon BT2-071 (4, 2, 4000 DP): On Deletion: Trigger Draw 1 HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Option Cards:
Death Claw ST6-015 (1 Play Cost): Delete one of your own Digimon to delete one of your opponent's Lv 4 or lower Digimon. Security: Delete one of your opponent's Lv 4 or lower Digimon. Mainly to remove your opponent's Blocker. I will probably remove Nail Bone to main deck this.
Eye of the Gorgon (unreleased yet) BT9-108 (8 play cost): Delete one of your opponent's unsuspended Digimon. If you do, you can play 1 Lv 3 Purple Digimon from your trash for free; its On Play effects do not activate. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Heat Viper BT2-109 (5 play cost): Delete 1 of your Digimon to delete up to 2 of your opponent's Lv 4 or lower Digimon. Similar to Death Claw, but costs more. Also deletes up to 2 Digimon instead of 1. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Soon to be released cards:
BlackGatomon BT8-077 (5, 3, 6000 DP): It's Purple and Yellow, so it also allows the Wizardmon above to get Retaliation (most likely you won't run both of these in your sideboard anyways, so it's a moot benefit). It has Rush and it's cheaper to hard play than Ginkakumon Promote.
Witchmon ST10-09 (6, 2, 4000 DP): This is like the BlackGatomon that plays itself from security check, but better. Witchmon does cost 1 more, but you're realistically not hard playing these cards anyways. On Play: Return 1 Lv 5 or lower Purple Digimon card from your trash to your hand. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Other Color Sideboard cards:
Mekanorimon BT5-062 (4, 3, 6000 DP): Obviously one of the best Blockers in this game. Really cheap to hard play, considering its stats and its ability to continuously block. A great card to protect your weaker Digimon from getting attacked. HIGHLY CONSIDERED
Magnadramon BT2-039 (11, 3, 10000 DP): On Play: If you have 3 or less cards in your security stack, trigger Recovery +2 (Deck).
Puppetmon BT2-049 (11, 3, 10000 DP): Suspend one of your opponent's Digimon. Your opponent's Digimon do not unsuspend during their next Unsuspend Phase.
Bokomon BT7-081 (3, NA, 2000 DP): Tamer/Hybrid Searcher for 3 to play. Gains 2 memory once per turn when you Digivolve on on of your Tamers.
Edit 4/10/2022
Took out 2x DemiDevimon BT2-067 and 2x Candlemon BT3-076 and replaced with 4x Tapirmon BT2-070. Removed Glaive Memory Boost! and added in 4x Mekanorimon BT5-062. Removed 3 Xiaomon BT4-006 from Digi-Egg Deck and added in 4 Gigimon BT5-006. Removed 3x Calling from the Darkness from Sideboard and added in 3x Death Claw (chosen over Heat Viper because Heat Viper cost 5 but sacrifices a Digimon to delete 2 of your opponent's 4 or less. Schwarz Lehrsatzs is already in sideboard, cost 6, and deletes 1 opponent's Lv 5 or lower Digimon for every Tamer/Hybrid that you have). Overall, pretty happy with this deck, might sub out the remaining 2x DemiDevimon and 2x Candlemon for Bokomon.
