Well, things went better than I expected.
Here's my decklist for the TyrantKabuterimon deck.
I'll explain which decks I played against, how I fared, and some details about the matches.
Round 1: Myotismon (MyotisLoop)
I won 2-0.
Through bottom-decking, I used TyrantKabuterimon and Shivamon Ace to prevent him from looping, breaking Arukenimon & Mummymon (Tamer) using GrandKuwagamon Ace, and playing Pomumon with TyrantKabuterimon's effect so he couldn't use effects.
Round 2: Purple Hybrid
Loss: 2-0
I made several mistakes in this match, mainly misdirecting my opponent's attacks with Izzy or the MetallifeKuwagamon legacy.
This left me without redirects, and he could freely play against my safety.
Besides, it hurt when he threw a Gazimon in my face when he saw I'd made a single mistake, and that ended up hindering me from gaining memory due to the Inherited cards on TyrantKabuterimon's stack.
Round 3: LordKnightmon (Guilmon Base + Dark Animal Engine)
Loss: 2 - 0
This deck was absurdly fast. I couldn't even play or reach level 5 and I got bad luck searching pieces, and he already had his entire stack set up in three turns. Nothing more to say.
Round 4: Magnamon (X Antibody)
Loss: 2 - 0
In this round, I didn't make any mistakes, I played well, I searched the deck a lot, and yet, I never saw a Level 5 in any of the matches. I could do nothing but watch as Magnamon X Antibody was left on the board, and I was trying to find a Level 5 to get out.
I tried to get to Rookie Rush but narrowly missed.
Round 5: Gallantmon X
Win: 2 - 0
I'm not going to lie, I hate Guilmon base decks or Gallantmon. He's absurdly strong in every way and fast as hell. But since I have a teammate at home who plays the deck (and got Top 8 with Gallant) and I got faced against him several times, that helped me a lot.
It's a deck I'm afraid of, but TyrantKabuterimon behaved too well. It came down to Pomumon preventing me from playing Guilmon due to effects, Tyrant bottom-decking everything that came into play, and Shivamon preventing him from playing Options. It was a combination that allowed me to win. And in the second match he got Imperial: Paladin Mode in his face in a weak moment, that was all for Gallant.
Round 6: Seven Great Demon Lords
Win (My opponent surrendered)
Nothing to say, I was waiting to face this deck to provide my ability but I dropped the tournament.
Round 7: Omnimon ACE
Win 2 - 0
YEAAAAH BABE THIS IS ON FIRE! I've played against Omnimon so many times, and there were so many in the tournament that I wished one would cross paths with me.
First of all, this deck is the biggest reason to play Pomu on the deck.
Pomumon prevented him from playing effects, Shivamon wouldn't let him play Options, Tyrant Kabuterimon, with his stack built, end of turn, would hit something suspended, gain 2 memory, returning to my turn for inherited cards, and trash the top of his security card. Simply wonderful.
He tried to play Rookie Rush, but couldn't get down due to effects or use Options. Grand Kuwagamon took care of his tamers, and he went to sleep.
Izzy redirected hits toward the suspended Tyrant and killed everything before anything else could happen, or before they were bottom-decked at the end of the turn.
None of the victories of this tournament was more satisfying than this one, my opponent got totally stunned.
Closing with a brief analysis, the deck has a lot going for it, too many chances to win. If I hadn't made mistakes against Purple Hybrid, I could have easily made it into the top 16, considering how the other matches and scores went.
I need to make some adjustments (like getting two more Promo Mega Kabuterimon).
But I'm already mastering this deck, using it, and learning more and more. Next time, I'm going to try to achieve a better result and aim for the top 8.
That said, I have to say it all comes down to: TentoGOD.
