Introduction: Rising from what seemed like an absolutely mediocre introduction in BT15, the bugs deck really gained new strength after the introduction of the BT16 support. It now has an absolute monster of a boss monster in TyrantKabuterimon (BT16-048), which somewhat carries the entire deck on its back. This deck makes me apologise to my opponents after each set. It boasts a really big toolbox of Insectoid digimon, making each build different from the one you saw before. In general, with the deck, you should be trying to setup a difficult wall to approach while progressively chipping the opponent's security and setting up a solid board.
Top End: We should start here, as it introduces us to this deck's gameplan. As mentioned before, TyrantKabuterimon (BT16-048) is our boss monster, and oh boy, it has a really strong back because this guy carries the entire deck. Our entire deck relies a lot in having immunity to digimon effects, all the while having big bodies on the field, to make an almost impenetrable wall. Despite this, it is hard to rely on a single 4-of Digimon to enforce our gameplan, and that is why I personally included HerculesKabuterimon (BT15-053). Despite not being the strongest card, paired up with some DP boosts, it may serve as a temporary wall while we do not find a Tyrant. GranKuwagamon (BT16-046) is also included here. Being an ACE means having a lower play cost, which we can exploit with Tyrant's [When Digivolving] effect. The ability to delete tamers and stun digimon is very valuable, and this card is, at the very least, a 2-of in the deck. Some people do like the use of Shivamon (BT8-057), however, I personally do not find much utility in it, as playing it with Tyrant's effect usually means the opponent is left with 5 memory. For most decks, it is not very hard to deal with a Shivamon and then deal with Tyrant using a option card. Other lvl6s are usually not worth consideration, although the upcoming
